Integrated Communication Electronic Warfare System Military forces are becoming increasingly dependent on the electromagnetic spectrum. The spectrum is shared between own forces and the enemy. Electronic warfare (EW) is the protection to own usage of the spectrum and its denial to the enemy. AXIS CADES Ltd has developed an IEWS which can comprise of any combination and configuration of the following EW posts.
Control Centre

Features:

Intercept/DF Station

Fixed Frequency DF Signal Processing

The DF receiver is able to process the angle of arrival (AOA) for all of the incoming signal components in the IF spectrum to provide IF bearing spectrum.

Wide-Band DF Signal Processing

The DF receiver is able to process the angle of arrival (AOA) for all of the incoming signal components in the spectrum to provide bearing. Unlike traditional narrowband direction finding (DF) systems, the wideband DF capability provides Simultaneous real-time direction information for search range. This is comparable to having thousands of parallel narrowband DF subsystems, which can be simultaneously tasked to determine direction on all detected signals within the search range. This allows the search process to be qualified by direction providing search and collection of signals only from directions of interest.

This is an essential capability for the identification and location of low probability of intercept, frequency agile signals. The integrated wideband direction data is propagated through the receiver programming interface (API) and is integrated into a new bearing spectrum and mapping displays. The new displays include a spectrogram color-coded by direction.
